Daffodil Day 2022 at Shotover House, 2pm - 4.30pm

  • Shotover House Wheatley, Oxford OX33 1NE UK (map)

Tt is now three years since the last Daffodil Day at SHotover, with the 2020 event sadly cancelled due to the pandemic. This year, for the first time, St Nicolas has joined with The Maple Tree Children’s Centre in Wheatley to raise much-needed funds for both organisations.

In return for a small entrance fee, the public is offered a rare opportunity to wander around the private gardens of Shotover House and to enjoy the extensive displays of daffodils and other spring bulbs. Tea, coffee and home made cake (including gluten free and vegan options) will be on sale throughout the afternoon in the arcade at the rear of Shotover House. There will also be a plant and home-made produce stall. Payments will be accepted by credit/debit card as well as in cash.

The gardens at Shotover House were laid out in the early eighteenth century and include, among other things, a large obelisk, two ornamental temples or ‘follies’ and a lake. The house and grounds are currently owned and managed by the Shotover Trust.
